Siemens NX X — Cloud SaaS for NX CAD

Siemens NX X is the cloud-delivered subscription edition of Siemens NX CAD. Engineers get the same NX they’re used to — solid modelling, surfacing, sheet metal, drawings — without the licence server, infrastructure overhead, or version-upgrade migrations that on-prem NX brings.

What NX X actually is

NX X (also written as “NX-X”) is NX CAD as a service. Siemens runs the infrastructure, the licence server, and the version updates. You pay a predictable monthly or annual subscription per user. Engineers access the software through a browser-based launcher and a streamed desktop session; the experience inside NX is identical to the on-prem edition.

Three things distinguish NX X from on-prem NX CAD:

• No installation pain. New engineers can be productive within minutes of being licensed — they hit the launcher URL and start modelling. No IT ticket. No client-side install. No FlexNet licence server.
• Always-current version. Siemens applies updates centrally. Your team is never running an outdated NX version, never waiting for an internal upgrade migration project.

The full NX CAD foundation — the same modules an on-prem NX seat gets:

When NX X is the right pick
